To install the Website Speedy app on your Shift4Shop follow these steps:
Step 1: Log in to Your Website Dashboard
To get started with Website Speedy, first log in to your Shift4Shop website dashboard. Use your credentials to access the admin area where you can manage your store and apps.
Step 2: Visit the Shift4Shop App Store
Once you're logged in, navigate to the Shift4Shop App Store. This is where you can find various apps to enhance the functionality of your online store.
Step 3: Search for Website Speedy
In the search bar of the App Store, type "Website Speedy" and press enter. This will bring up the Website Speedy app in the search results.
Step 4: Click on Install App
Find the Website Speedy app in the search results and click on the "Install App" button. This will start the installation process.
Step 5: Enter Your Store URL and Click on Proceed
You will be prompted to enter your store URL. Input the URL of your Shift4Shop store and click on the "Proceed" button to continue with the installation.
Step 6: Go to the Website Speedy Tab in the Dashboard
After the installation is complete, go back to your website dashboard. You will now see a new tab labeled "Website Speedy." Click on this tab to access the app’s features.
Step 7: Click on Get Started
In the Website Speedy tab, you will see a "Get Started" button. Click on this button to begin setting up the app for your store.
Step 8: Enter 3 URLs of Your Website
You will be asked to enter up to three URLs from your website. These should be the main pages you want to optimize, such as your homepage, product pages, or category pages. Enter these URLs in the provided fields.
Step 9: Click on the "Boost Speed Now" Button
Once you have entered the URLs, click on the "Boost Speed Now" button. This will initiate the speed optimization process.
Step 10: Copy Speed Enhancement Script
Once the analysis is complete, Website Speedy will generate a speed enhancement script. Copy this script to your clipboard by clicking on the "Copy Script" button.
Step 11: Paste the Script into the Head Section
You will be provided with a script that needs to be added to the head section of your website’s HTML. Copy this script and paste it into the head section of your site’s code. This step is crucial for the app to start working on optimizing your site’s speed.
Step 12: Click on Verify and Go to Step 3
After pasting the script, return to the Website Speedy tab and click on the "Verify" button. This will check if the script has been correctly implemented. Once verified, you can proceed to the next step.
Step 13: Check Your Updated Speed
The final step is to check your website’s updated speed. Website Speedy will provide you with a report showing the improvements made. You should see a significant boost in your website’s loading times and overall performance.
